Sayings I’ve learned from Olga:
“Señor, no permite que me aparte de ti” (July 17, 2007)
Lord, do not allow me to part from you
“¿Cuando estoy con Dios, quien puede ser contra mi?”
When I am with God, who can be against me?
“Te doy todo mi día, todo me vida a Ti”
I give all my day, all my life to You
“Si el Señor te llama, te da los medios”
If the Lord calls you, He will give you the means
“Mujer precavida, vale por diez” (July 24, 2007)
A prudent woman is worth ten.
These came from the readings and reflections at mass (July 15, 2007):
“En mi relación con mi prójimo, descubro quien soy.”
In my relationships with my neighbor, I discover who I am
“¿Estoy viviendo como en esclavo o un hijo?”
Am I living as a slave or as a son(or daughter)?
From Sebastian and Favian (new Chilean friends), in regards to the gringas speaking in English so know one else could understand (July 21, 2007):
“Secretos de dos no son de Dios. Un secreto de tres, un secreto no es”
Secrets between to are not of God. A secret between three is not a secret.

Thanks for the translations Kayla. I enjoyed figuring them out on my own. It is a big world and www.babelfish.com can help you with what Kayla is writing.
Your blog is so awesome and detailed. My mother is now reading it!

So Kayla you told me not to read your blog thing because I have a life...haha! Little did you know that I don't! I am so jealous of you at the moment! You are so lucky to be able to do what you are doing. I would only hope to someday be able to do something quite like this! I will continue to read your blogs they are so exciting. Don't worry about your classes I'm sure you will be at the top of your class in no time. You had no trouble doing that here!
Ok, you are in my prayers! Can't wait to see pictures!
Love, Katie Z
Kayla, I think it's great your mom has passed your blog around the nieghborhood. Now, just like the question in the gospel, when we ask, "Who is my neighbor?" we can say, of course, Kayla, and also all the people she has brought us into contact with in Chile, "En mi relacion con mi projimo, descubro quien soy." It's just like your mom to keep the neighbors updated and in touch. She is such a good neighbor she is worth 10! I love the universiality of the sayings. They are so similar to what we think, say, and pray all the time. And the last one about secrets is hilariously true! Keep up the good work because, "si el senior te llamo, te da los medios." much love, Gina Meyer
